Here’s an example of an oversized postcard that I used for several years. Serious. Sick. Smart was the headline. I think it was rather successful, I made a bunch of contacts with it, but like anything it probably turned away alot of people from ever thinking of using me. Sometimes clients or prospective clients just plain hate what you do. But that’s OK, you can’t please everybody, and some people are going to hate you and your work no matter what. So I always try to be myself with promotions, if that means a burning Uncle Sam or drawing Mr. Magoo’s head on a pike or burning bridges, so be it.
