Varoom Magazine Issue No. 1 / FREE

I heart magazines. I am old. I love to hold them in my hand, I love to lazily thumb through them. I love to start over and pore over every spread in detail. I love to read the articles and study the images. However you can’t always get what you want, sometimes you’ll have to resort to a virtual copy of a back issue. Varoom, a journal of illustration from the Association of Illustrators, has made it’s first issue available for an online download. As one of the annoying subscription cards that are stuffed into magazines might say, it is a limited time offer. If you haven’t seen Varoom yet, I think that it is a really well designed, and well written publication devoted to illustration and made images. The fact that it’s from the UK means there will definately be illustrators, artists and image makers that you are not readily familiar with. It’s nice to see what people across the globe are up to, that’s always a plus in my book.
