The Small Stakes: Music Posters by Jason Munn

Most rock posters leave me cold. They usually have nothing going for them other than the cool factor, in other words, “hey, that’s cool!”. No thought goes into them, the imagery usually has nothing to do with the band or the music, or anything for that matter, simply a designer showing off. That ain’t cool.

I can’t say the same for the work of Jason Munn, lovely, restrained, and cerebral. Love this poster for Daniel Johnston. Nice slideshow on the Dwell site, for his book The Small Stakes: Music Posters published by Chronicle Books.
