Box Doodle, Glennz and The Dieline. A creative product cycle.By Mark Kaufman

Stumbling baround the interwebs today for illustration centric sites that I found of interest and I came up a bit short. I did however come across three fun, interesting sites that have to do with products and packaging and recycling the package into something somewhat illustration related.

At top left is the Box Doodle Project. When you are done with the package your geegaw came in why not break it down into something creative. As the site says make the most of the least. A fun idea to say the least.

At top right is an image from the illustrator and designer known as Glennz by way of New Zealand. Really smart and hilariously funny graphics for tee shirts, iphone downloads and desk calendars. I love his illustration style, and his design restraint.

At the bottom to come full circle for today is the Dieline, a classy site devoted to package design. Lot’s of great packaging intended to get you to buy products. As nice as most packaging is, it’s disposable, so circle back to the Box Doodle Project and extend the life of that beutifully designed box of tee shirts into something new.
