Illustrations of the Day

One thing that I absolutely love is the dying art of courtroom illustration. In an age when everything is on TV or the net, photography and video are king, so it is always surprising to see quick courtroom sketches be a major visual factor in a breaking news story. As surprising as Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich trying to sell off a senate seat. Ouch. I haven’t sourced the artists names of these images yet. I will post later. There used to be a restaurant in downtown Seattle near the courthouse that had drawings from famous court cases framed on the walls. That joint has since closed down, but I always did enjoy eating a BLT under the gaze of muderers and scoundrels.
