At first I thought that critics on the left, and in the center would be wise to not dismiss the Tea Party movement. After seeing the great angry mob come out of their holes across the country yesterday and their getting a load of signs and banners touting rage at everything from taxes, bailouts, abortion, immigrants, Obama, guns, god, and various and sundry beefs, and resentments, I think that it is just fine to laugh at them, and to dismiss them as the vitriolic right-wing nut jobs, and conservative dead enders they are. Any momentum this movement would have had to regenerate the Republican party and conservatism died when fair-minded conservatives and libertarians bore witness to the creepy, hateful morons on display. This will undoubtedly be a vocal powder-keg, but it will continue to be a minority powder-keg. Fortunately.
