ICON6 Tweeple: Santiago Uceda

The great thing about Twitter and/or the ICON6 Illustration Conference is the ability to connect with nice people. I am starting out a series of ICON Tweeple posts with the very talented illustrator and designer Santiago Uceda.

Santiago is based just down the I-5 corridor from me in Corvallis, OR. It was great to get to meet a Twitter pal in person, and even greater to find out that he is a super person as well. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Santiago, seeing his amazing work, and chatting with him about work, life, and beavers. I love Santiago’s work, it is loose, and fun, and scratchy, and colorful, and sweet. However, I chose this piece for dreamactivist.org to post here, because while maintaining the previously stated attributes, it shows a more serious and a darker side of his work. I like that. Great to meet you in person Santiago!

Nice stuff, Santiago. I’m bummed I didn’t get to meet more of my fellow illustrators at ICON6 — next time for sure!
