Current Mood: The Future is Depressing

The Future is depressing, but so is the past. Especially when it comes to searching through the archives. Looking for something on my computer generally drops me firmly down the rabbit hole of things. In looking for one thing, I come across many other things that I have either forgotten about, or vaguely remember. Like this poster I found that I created for the AIGA Seattle 25th Anniversary from a few years back. Looking backwards is generally a depressing exercise for me, on the other hand, I’m not one to look towards the future with rose-colored glasses. I am firmly rooted in the here and now. I think this poster on the Future of Design captured my world view when it comes to design or life for that matter. Cynicism then. Cynicism now. Cynicism forever. A colorful and joyful cynicism, but cynicism nonetheless.
