Bjorn Wiinblad: Danish Master

I was lucky enough to purchase an original Bjorn Wiinblad poster recently, a gorgeous screenprinted affair for a Danish theatre company, 10+ colors including a lovely gold plate. I was familiar with the artists ceramics, but I have been trolling the web and ebay to see his lovely poster designs. I generally am not a fan of whimsy, but I am now hooked on his work, the line, the characters, the oval heads, the flair. I would come across a piece every now and then in an  antique shop, admired it and put it down. I will definately pull the trigger and buy some more Wiinblad pieces when I get the chance. There are tone of things to choose from, ceramics, the man was annoyingly prolific over the course of his carrer in many different disciplines, poster design, ceramics, textiles, book illustration, glass, bronzze the list is seemingly endless. A treat.
