Lou Dorfsman, the long-time Creative Director at CBS has died at the age of 90. A true design giant, he is one of the reasons that CBS was known as the Tiffany Network. His work for Columbia Broadcasting infused the company and the medium with class and intelligence. A true design pioneer. There are of course many online tributes to Mr. Dorfsman, this is mine, excuse me for taking artistic license with one of Lou’s most enduring images. Great article by Steve Heller in the New York Times here, and perhaps most fittingly listen to a radio interview here with WCBS radio when the book Dorsfman & CBS was published.
